Computer hacks Polish LOT

If someone knows about computers, it doesn’t take much to hack into a system. One hacker made the lives of over 1,400 people a little more frustrating by grounding some of the planes of one of Poland’s airlines.

The airline is called LOT. There were quite a few flights that were grounded on a Sunday afternoon after a hacker or two got into the system. At least a dozen flights were delayed with another 10 cancelled all together. By Sunday evening, services were beginning to be normal again.

Authorities with the airline are looking into the incident to see how the job was completed and who could be responsible. The entire airport was not affected because of the hack. Only flights to a few cities, including Hamburg and Copenhagen, were involved. The airline doesn’t use the best systems possible, so this might be something that could happen again.

Opinions are what make us different

How easy is it to hack into a government system?
