During the 1970’s, the New York Yankees were the poster child for front office foolishness and managerial madness. The Yankees operations is a gentle as a Mother cat and her newborn kittens.

No longer an exclusive characteristic of the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim seem to have caught the bug of Yankee teams past, as they too are engaging in front office shenanigans between field skipper, Mike Scioscia, and General Manager, Jerry Dipoto. DiPoto turned his resignation from the post.

Though quiet for the moment, the Yankees have had their moments under the seven years of leadership of Joe Girardi. From the side show spectacle of Alex Rodriquez, to the constant childish antics of Jorge Posada not being inserted into a specific slot in the starting lineup, things could never be better between Skipper Girardi, and long-time Yankees General Manager, Brian Cashman. The amicable partnership of field manager and GM can be attributed to their daily communication, as their relationship is critical to their on-field success, the developmental farm system, and scouting corp.
