Tiger Woods takes Taz for Surgery

Tiger Woods is to pay a visit to the surgeon again, only this time it’s not him, it’s Taz, the Border Collie dog. This came to light when he posted a photo of his black and white pooch on Twitter and tagged it with the sentiment

“A rough year is about to get better. Taking my boy of nine years to get double ACL reconstruction on both hind legs.”

Fans could easily confuse this sentiment as to whether it referred to the dog, himself or both. It has been a rough start for Tiger Woods this year considering he failed to make the cut for the U.S Open last weekend after shooting 16-over at Chambers Bay.

This was followed by another miss out at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, and he later withdrew from the Farmers Insurance Open. This is so unlike him considering the last time something like this happened was in 2006 when he missed out on the U.S. Open following his father’s death. He is currently no. 205 according to the Official World Golf Rankings having finished 17th at the Masters this year. He is one of the few who have won 14 major titles since 1997. The star hopes to get back to the game when the tournament hits his hometown, the Honda Classic.
